This past weekend was my bridal shower weekend back in Michigan! Nick & I have been engaged since September 2018 – so it is truly so exciting that we are finally in the homestretch & all of the celebrations are finally starting!

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that I was torn 50/50 between two different dresses! I actually ended up bringing both to Michigan and decided which dress to wear just hours before the shower. I loved both, but went with this gorgeous long sleeve minidress from Nordstrom. I thought it was the perfect combination of classy, bridal & a little sexy! I loved the fringe drape down the front of the dress – so unique & flattering! As far as sizing goes, I would say this dress runs a bit big. Usually, I am a 4 – and I wore a 2 in this dress. It was such a high-quality, comfortable dress!

Let’s talk shoes – how fun are these?! I found these white, spiked pumps a few days prior to the shower at DSW and I’m not going to lie – these don’t really remind me of something I would usually pick out but I really wanted to spice it up for the shower, and I am so glad I did! I received so many compliments all night long on my shoes – they were classy with the perfect amount of edge! And the best part…they are affordable and comfortable!

As far as jewelry goes, I just wore jewelry that I already had! My white dangly earrings were from years ago and I unfortunately can’t find the exact pair online, but they were from Bauble Bar and they have tons of white dangly earrings here! And of course, I wore my usual gold bangles from Uncommon James.

The Setup

I can take credit 0% of this part – like I said before, my mom absolutely. killed it! She totally stayed with the garden/greenery theme of our wedding – which was just so gorgeous and complimented the venue perfectly! She did every little thing herself from scratch – including the tablescape, decor, cookies & props! She knows my style so well and if I ever had to throw a shower for myself, this would be exactly what it would look & feel like! I am still DYING over the table. Like c’mon – it was practically another wedding!

For the favor, she bought these beautiful candles from Etsy – I thought it was the perfect favor…I mean what girl doesn’t love candles?! Thank you again to my sweet mom – I don’t deserve you!

The People

The most important part of the shower – my people! It was too much fun and so special to have (almost) all of the women I love & care about in one room! Nick & some of the other husbands/boyfriends/guys came for the last hour & a half to join us for some drinks & food and the BEST shower game ever – the shoe game! If you’ve never played or been to a shower or wedding where they’ve played…remember this for next time! It’s hilarious. My mom made her own, but here’s a print-out of some popular shoe game questions.

Like I said, this was truly the shower of my dreams! I can’t believe in just less than two months, I will officially be a married woman! Let the countdown begin!

XO, Stef
