Life is too short to not feel your absolute best every single day – and that’s why health & wellness is so important to Nick & I. (After all, my husband does own a nutritional supplement company – I think it’s pretty obvious health is a priority for us, lol!) And here’s the thing about wellness – once you get a taste of how good you can really feel, it’s addicting. It’s motivating – and it drives you to be consistent with a wellness routine every single day.

We all have days, months, or even seasons when we feel tired, fatigued, and “just okay” – we’re human! It’s okay and normal to feel burnt out or sluggish once in a while. But you should not feel like that your entire life. I’ve found that staying consistent with my health & wellness regimen, no matter the season of life, no matter how busy I am, or even when I’m traveling – puts me in the driver’s seat of my health and ultimately…quality of life.

This routine and these products have brought energy & a new level of health optimization into my life – and who doesn’t want more energy?! Also, not to toot-my-own-horn or anything…but y’all – I never get sick. EVER. I can’t even tell you the last time I had a sniffly nose or sore throat. I’m thankful for that…health is something that should never be taken for granted, and that’s why it’s so important to stay in control of the areas you can control. Here’s a peak into my daily wellness routine – I hope you enjoy it!

Morning Routine

First Up: Skincare
Once my alarm goes off & I’m up – the first thing I do is my morning skincare routine. It’s short & sweet in the morning, and I truly feel like it wakes me up & I’m ready for the day!

Off To The Kitchen
This is where the real wellness fun begins! Here are the steps I follow once I make it to the kitchen.

WATER //
The first thing I do is fill my 1 gallon water jug with ice, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and water. I’ve tried so many different methods of hitting my gallon goal for the day – and this jug has been the ONLY way I hit the goal every single day. Yes, it’s obnoxiously huge – but you only have to fill it up once & there are time markers on the bottle to keep you on track throughout the day. Water is hands down one of the quickest, simplest fixes when it comes to wellness. When I consistently hit my gallon goal per day – my skin is clear, plump & hydrated – my mental clarity is through the roof, I’m not bloated, my energy is high, and my sleep is better. Hydration is truly the foundation to wellness and longevity.

JUICE + SUPERFOOD POWDERS //
Now it’s time to get those micronutrients into my body! I love doing this before consuming any coffee or food – I feel like I am nourishing my body first thing and it gives me so much energy (and keeps me regular!) Here’s my little wellness cocktail that I start every single morning off with:

– Homemade Juice: On Sundays, I use our Breville Juicer and batch a full week’s worth of homemade juice. I use beets, carrots, oranges, lemon, celery, cucumber, turmeric + ginger root. I mix all of the below powders into the juice!

Cordyceps Mushroom Powder: Again, doesn’t taste like mushrooms! This powder improves oxygen consumption & delivery to increase energy, and it also supports endurance & respiratory health.
– 1/4 tsp. Inositol Powder: This is powder that I have added in for mental health benefits along with fertility boosting benefits. I truly think this powder has changed the my PMS symptoms for the better.

COFFEE //
Now for my favorite part – coffee! I either use our Nespresso to brew up an individual cup of coffee, or I brew Four Sigmatic Adaptogen Ground Coffee in our pot – it’s nutrient dense coffee with tons of immune support benefits. It also has half the amount of caffeine a normal cup of coffee does, but makes me feel more energized without the crash! I take my coffee with some almond milk-based vanilla creamer, and that’s it!

BREAKFAST //
Most days of the week, this is when I’m whipping up my nutrient & protein packed green smoothie! Here’s my recipe & here’s a blog post where I talk about all of my green smoothie must-haves!

COLLAGEN //
I normally throw my collagen powder in my smoothie, but I wanted to point this out specifically because I’ve loved the benefits! Great Lakes Gelatin Collagen Hydrolysate Powder is my absolute favorite. It’s high-quality, affordable, and there is zero taste or texture when blended. It’s amazing! I’ve really seen the health of my hair, skin, nails & joints improve from incorporating collagen into my daily routine.

MORNING VITAMINS //
Yep, I’m basically an old lady with my pill box and handful of pills I take every morning & night, haha! BUT, these have truly optimized my health in more ways than one. I think a major key here that I want to point out is to really take the time to find vitamins with high-quality ingredients. Don’t go running off to your local drug store and buy the vitamins with the prettiest label, bright colors or best taste. Quality ingredients is key here. Nick helped me find the best of the best when it comes these vitamins. Here are the vitamins I take in the morning (**with food) & why:

2 capsules of BPN Strong Multi-Vitamin: This is my daily multi-vitamin! I’ve battled some hormone challenges around that time-of-the-month with my mood, and I truly think staying consistent with GABA has helped balance my mood so much during times of PMS.
2 Capsules of St John’s Wort: Another incredible mood balancing herb that I’ve seen great results from. So many studies & reviews about how it helped with people’s depression, mood swings & mental health!

Night Routine

Throughout the day, I am of course doing my best to stay hydrated, have nutrient-dense meals, all while taking frequent breaks from my computer to get up, get moving & get some sunshine for a few minutes. It really does help! After dinner once it’s time to start winding down for the evening – here’s my PM wellness routine!

EVENING VITAMINS //
Yup, more vitamins…haha! Some of these are intentionally taken at night because of their benefits. Again, I take these with food, so during or right after dinner. Here’s what’s on deck & why:

2 capsules of BPN Strong Multi-Vitamin: Finishing off my daily multi-vitamin serving for the day! You don’t need to split it into two serving times, I just like to because I find this multi to be pretty strong!
1 capsule of GABA: I take one in the morning, one at night. You can never have enough calmness in your life, right?! Especially for my energizer-bunny, hyper personality! It’s great for bedtime.
3 capsules of Previlli: This is one of the newer supplements I’ve added into my routine, and it’s all for gut health! I LOVE IT. Nick was super impressed by the label. I’m really into learning about gut health lately – your gut literally controls every function of your body. Immunity, energy, mental activity, mood, stress, aging, skin, metabolism – you name it…it’s all impacted by your gut, which is why it’s so important to take care of it.
2 capsules of Fish Oil: Fish oil is great for brain & heart health! I keep these in the fridge – and there are no fishy burps or after taste.
3 capsules of Magnesium: Ahhh, the ultimate nighttime supplement. Magnesium is game-changing, y’all! It supports calmness & a healthy immune system. It also gets workin’ overnight so you are are “ready to go” in the morning…if you catch my drift, haha!
– 2 capsules of Astragalus Root: This has tons of anti-aging benefits, along with immune & energy boosting benefits. Dr. Josh Axe says this is a great ancient remedy for aging on the inside & out – so consider me in!

PM SKINCARE ROUTINE //
There’s nothing better than taking off your makeup & going to bed with a fresh face. Here’s all of the products I use in my PM skincare routine.

OTHER BEDTIME RITUALS //
Equilibria CBD Daily Drops: Anxiety is definitely a challenge I face during certain seasons & situations of my life – and I was willing to try anything and everything when it came to finding some relief, especially during PMS. I was super hesitant to try CBD because it’s such a fad – but I do think it’s for a good reason. I did my research, and found a super high quality CBD oil that I started taking before bed…and I absolutely saw a difference in my sleep quality and “racing thoughts” before bed. Right before bed, I drop one serving of the oil under my tongue (it has a minty taste).

Humidifier: In the winter months especially, this is a MUST! I keep it literally inches away from my pillow on my nightstand. No more waking up with a dry, scratchy throat or congested nose in the morning. I’ve also noticed that my skin is more hydrated & plump when I wake up. I love this one because you can infuse oils in it for added aroma, it’s quiet, it has timer capabilities & is easy to clean. And, it’s pretty! (I am so obsessed with the humidifier benefits I’ve seen, I even bought a travel humidifier. I’m serious, haha! Is there anything worse than a dry hotel room or your dry skin after a long plane ride? This one is compact, adorable and does the job.)

Progessence Plus Essential Oil: Disclaimer // I am not an essential oils advocate – I really know nothing about them and honestly I was little skeptical! But after reading about some of the benefits with certain essential oils in Dr. Josh Axe’s book, Ancient Remedies – I was intrigued! Especially by this one. The reviews are amazing & so many women have seen tons of benefits from this oil. It promotes female well-being, balance, has been seen to decrease PMS & menstrual cycle symptoms, and some women say it’s even helped boost fertility. I just place 4 drops on my skin (wrist, thigh, chest…doesn’t really matter where!) before bed.
